Sage have released a new update which will take your Sage 50 2014 software to version 20.4.9.364.  This is called Sage Accounts 2014 Service Pack 1. To learn about what in included in Service Pack 1 then take a look at the Ask Sage website.

If you go to help and about in your Sage 50  software you can check which version you are currently using, and see a list of the updates you have already installed.  There have been a number of updates released over the last 6 months but you just need to install this service pack to bring your accounts up to date.

If you have automatic updates switched on then you can follow the on screen instructions, making sure you have closed any Sage Programs and Microsoft Excel before installing the update.  If you encounter any problems with updating automatically then please see my previous post about the Sage 50 Accounts Update Loop for advice on how to get your program working.  If you run a multi user system once one user has updated their Sage software other users will need to do the same before they will be able to access the software again.  it is best to install the update on all machines at the same time.

There is another update available on the Sage Accounts Updates website which will not install automatically. If you have Microsoft Office 2013 and use Excel Integrated Reporting then you should browse to www.sage.co.uk/au  and download  the Sage 50 Accounts 2014 – EIR Update.  You just need to choose the correct software and version from the drop down lists to gain access to the download.  This update solves the issue of the Sage Accounts function being missing in Excel Integrated reporting.

If you have any issues with updating your Sage software then please get in touch as we are able to assist remotely and guide you through the update process.
